Front Desk Receptionist

Hamilton Technical College is looking for a Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to work at our growing college Campus. Hamilton Technical College is a student centered provider of training and education in the fields of Electronics, Medical Assisting and Medical/Insurance Coding Specialist. Looking for an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to work 27-32 hours per week 3pm-8pm Monday through Thursday and 9-4 Friday with occasional weekends and opportunity for advance to full-time in a rapidly growing company. Responsibilities include greeting guests, data entry, Campus Management (CampusVue/CampusNexus a PLUS) , answering multiple phone lines and other general office tasks as assigned.

Must have previous clerical experience, superior customer service, professional demeanor, and great computer skills.

Qualifications:

· Great customer service skills

· Ability to accurately type and enter information

· Knowledge of computers and Office Suite programs

· Experience in Campus Management Software CampusVue and CampusNexus a

· Organized and detail oriented

· Willingness to help out with whatever task is assigned

Requirements for Adjunct Instructor are as follows:

The right candidate must have, at a minimum, a master’s degree with appropriate academic coursework and preparation in the subject area(s) taught.

Experience teaching in a post-secondary institution preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities for Adjunct Instructor:

Instruct in college-level courses including:


  • Prepare standardized course syllabus, outline and daily lesson plans
  • Ensure consistency between the course objectives and the daily lesson plans. Provide and discuss syllabus modifications with students throughout the term as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress of students utilizing Campus Nexus software system

School Librarian

Hamilton Technical College, located in Davenport, IA is currently looking for a School Librarian to join our team of professionals. We have been in business for 50 years and offer focused education and hands-on training in Electronics Engineering Technology (Associate and Bachelor Degrees), Medical Assisting Technology and Medical/Insurance Coding Specialists.

We are looking for a School Librarian with a Masters Degree in Library Science or Information Studies to join our team of professionals! This will be a part-time position, approximately 20-24 hours per week with day and evening hours.


  • Assist patrons in finding reading materials and media within the library and library system
  • Facilitate and record library holds and inter-library loans
  • Update and replace damaged library inventory
  • Check in and shelve books, reading material, graphic novels, movies, and other media available for check-out
  • Manage acquisitions of new materials and inventory
  • Help students research scholarly and public information
  • Educate students on technology like electronic search tools, 3-D printers, and computer basics


  • Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Studies accredited by the American Library Association (ALA) is preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules
